Card issuers typically initiate copy requests when cardholders question or dispute transactions appearing on their monthly billing statements. They may also initiate a copy request for legal reasons such as to comply with a written order. An issuer sends the request to the appropriate acquirer. The acquirer has 10 business days from the date it receives a copy request to deliver a copy of the related sales receipt to the card issuer via a method that shows proof of delivery. There are a limited number of days to respond to a copy request.

The consumer contacts their issuing bank to dispute a charge based on fraudulent or non-fraudulent reasons.The issuer’s system identifies the fraudulent chargeback as an Ethoca participating merchant and automatically redirects the dispute to Ethoca for processing and resolution.Ethoca Fraud Reason Chargeback Prevention Notifications are notifications for specific fraud Card Not Present transactions. The merchants are required to take immediate action by issuing a refund as soon as possible (objective is within 24 hours). A notification is sent to the issuing bank through the Ethoca Fraud Reason Chargeback Prevention Notifications System and a chargeback is stopped.

These are notifications which Chargeback Expertz received directly from Better Business Bureaus, Attorney General’s offices, and consumers themselves. Chargeback Expertz deals with and fixes the issue directly by contacting them. Chargeback Expertz has to respond within an expected time frame and obey all governing bodies’ rules and regulations.

Processing Company’s Pre-Chargeback Retreival Requests
Processing Company’s Pre-Chargeback Retrieval Requests are notifications Chargeback Expertz’s system receives directly from a network of credit card companies, informing the system that a customer and/or the issuing bank intends to request transaction documentation. In order to prevent a chargeback, the merchant must refund the transaction in question and notify the credit card company. It is not necessary to provide any other information. The merchant has approximately 3-5 business days to complete this action on each record they receive.

Merchants are required to take immediate action by issuing a refund as soon as possible (objective is within 72 hours).A notification is sent to the issuing bank through the Verifi CDRN True Reason Chargeback Prevention Notifications System and a chargeback is stopped. Chargeback Expertz works with contracted licensed reseller of CDRN, and do not offer the service directly to a merchant.
